The 16 Days of Activism to End Violence Against Women is an international campaign run by individuals and organisations around the world to call for the prevention and elimination of violence against women and girls. It runs annually from 25th November to 10th December.
The Newcastle 16 Days of Activism to End Violence Against Women Campaign is made possible due to support from the University of Newcastle’s Gender Research Network and City of Newcastle’s Social Inclusion Grants Program.
We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we reside and pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging. We extend this acknowledgment to the Awabakal and Worimi people. This is un-ceded land, which is, always was and always will be Indigenous land.
